Rome (7)
Rome 2010 in early April. For 10 days we walked the city, used buses and subways. Visited the Colosseum, Vatican City, monasteries, churches, the old port city of Ostia. All these images of our experience in Rome are incorporated in this etching. There are three stages to the etching. The first print is more two dimential. With aqua-tinting some more life was added to the plate with the second and third stage, which gave it more depth and three dimention. To add life to the etching I used my own water coloured Masa paper for the chin collé. -

Ice Fisheing Dawson Point (4)
Ice fishing huts in front of the City Hall of Temiskaming Shores. It was like a real village. One father had created an ice rink around the huts for his children to skate on -
Tropical Queen (8)
Etchings depicting the Hibiscus. Inspired by visiting Prague and Vienna and my love to flowers -
Vienna (14)
2009 we visited Prague and Vienna. It is amazing the art and architecture in these two cities. Prague has everything what Vienna has only on a smaller scale. This etching was inspired by Mucha, Klimt, Hundertwasser and the architecture in both cities. The Stephan's Dome in Vienna became the focal point of the etching. -
Out of the Ruins (3)
The theme for the Pallet and Brush Club exhibition was second sight. I remembered the Provence with all its ruins and out of it grew trees and flowers. This inspired me to create this plate. -
